1960 Austin-Healey 3000 MK1

A restoration was first commissioned in 2009 from a local shop and in 2013 the car was brought to The Auto Shoppe of Burlington, Vermont for an improved result. Corrosion was removed from the body and original frame, the body received a factory-matched PPG repaint in Healey Blue with white accents, and a new English Ivory interior was fitted. This Healey retains its 2. This 3000 has only been driven about 3k miles since the restoration was finished. A new cloth soft top was also fitted during the restoration and looks to remain in near-new condition. A replacement stainless steel exhaust system should provide a nice tone from the 2. 9 liter engine. Inside, new blue leather upholstery with white piping and a carpet kit from Heritage Upholstery compliments the exterior nicely. As with the repaint, everything looks to be in as-new condition. All factory trim and the distinct three-spoke steering wheel are present. The odometer now shows 57,378 miles though true mileage is unknown as the Toyota transmission previously fitted was not compatible with the factory odometer cable and the gauge did not accrue miles during that time. The 2. 9 liter engine has been left mostly stock aside from a Pertronix ignition system, an improved radiator fan, and a non-original gear reduction starter. Minor oil leaks around the timing chain cover and transmission are the only noted flaws. Also included are service records and receipts that cover the full restoration and everything that has been done over the past eight years.
