Description
The car is finished in red over red leather, and power comes from a numbers-matching 390ci V8 paired with a four-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. Features include a white soft top, power-assisted brakes and steering, a six-way electrically-adjustable front seat, and more. Cadillac offered four models for 1959, all measuring 225â?³ in overall length and featuring updated front and rear grilles, upright fins, and dual-bullet taillights. The electrically-operated white soft top features a zip-down rear window and can be seen in both its raised and lowered positions. Steel 15â?³ wheels wear chrome covers and Firestone wide-whitewall bias-ply tires. Power-assisted steering and four-wheel drum brakes were standard features. The interior features replacement red leather upholstery (29) with a matching dashboard, carpets, door panels, and top boot. Power windows and a six-way electrically-adjustable front bench seat were standard features on the Series 62 convertible. Additional amenities include a Delco AM radio, a factory clock, two-speed windshield wipers, and an â??Autronic Eyeâ? automatic headlight dimmer mounted on the dash. A red two-spoke steering wheel with a full horn ring frames a horizontal-sweep speedometer and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature.
