Description
1969 Camaro 427 5-Speed Cowl Induction. This car was originally a 327 4 speed car. I purchased the car in 1998 and performed a frame off restoration. The frame was blasted and painted and the drive train was replaced with a rebuilt 1969 4-bolt 427 block with 425 HP rectangular port heads, new 2.25 / 1.88 stainless valves with hardened seats, rocker rollers, TRW pop-ups, stainless exhaust, performer rpm cam, lifters and intake with a Holley 850 double pumper, March polished aluminum pulley system, milodon oil pan, ceramic hooker headers with 3 inch steel aluminized exhaust and Flow master mufflers. Rear end is a 12 Bolt Positrac out of a Chevelle, new hardned axles, narrowed 1/4 inch, c-clip eliminators, traction bars, multi leaf springs, frame connectors and heavy duty anodized sway bars. The 4+1 Richmond transmission is setup with a 3:90 1st gear and a 5th gear 2:73:1 ratio. The OEM cowl induction mechanism is new and functions with throttle kick down. In 2018 the car received the following: 1. New A/C with factory in dash controls. 2. RS grille with hideaway head lights utilizes electric actuators (no old vacuum lines), 3. Brand new big disc brakes 11" system with powder coated calipers. 4. All New Interior: new dash, OEM factory style gauge cluster - 7000 rpm tach, 140 mph speedo, center fuel gauge, beautiful simulated wood grain dash with matching custom wood steering wheel. Autometer console guage package, new carpet, door panels, hardware, console, etc, Seats are electric powered from a 2010 Camaro refinished with black madrid vinyl and black & white hounds-tooth with SS embroidered on head rests, new pioneer retrofit stereo, power windows. 5. New Torq thrust wheels with SS Spinners and new tires:17" front and 18" rear. 6. Car was repainted in 2018. The paint looks great but has some imperfections on the front top quarter panels where if you look close you can see some faint circular sanding marks under the clear. Something I missed when I picked up the car at the paint and body shop. This is a gorgeous 1969 Camaro in beautiful condition. This is a car you can drive and enjoy that has been completely rebuilt with all new components. Lots of torque and horsepower.
