Description
This Factory Five Racing Mk2 Roadster is a Cobra replica that was reportedly assembled in 2003 by Don Barry Classics in Jacksonville, Florida. Finished in metallic blue over a black interior, it is powered by a Ford 302ci roller V8 linked with a Tremec T5 five-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes 16 Corbra R-style wheels, front disc brakes, Edelbrock intake components, and side-exit exhaust pipes along with a roll hoop, a hood scoop, Simpson harnesses, a wood-rim steering wheel, and AutoMeter gauges. The fiberglass bodywork is finished in metallic blue with silver over-the-top stripes, and exterior equipment includes a single roll hoop, a hood scoop, wind wings, quick-jack bumperettes, a LeMans-style fuel filler cap, and side-exit exhaust pipes. Cobra R-style 16 four-lug wheels are mounted with 245/50 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. Braking is provided by front discs and rear drums. The low-back bucket seats are upholstered in black vinyl, and a Simpson multi-point harness is fitted on each side. Additional interior appointments include black carpeting, a dash-mounted rearview mirror, and a round shift knob. The wood-rim steering wheel fronts white-dial AutoMeter instrumentation consisting of a 120-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer as well as gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level, voltage, and oil pressure. The 302ci Ford V8 is equipped with a dual-snorkel intake system with K&N cone-style filers as well as an Edelbrock carburetor and intake manifold, roller lifters, an MSD distributor, a high-volume aluminum water pump, a remote oil filter, and polished-aluminum valve covers.
