Description
This 1970 Mercedes-Benz 600 is finished in metallic gray over a black leather interior and is powered by a numbers-matching 6. 3-liter M100 V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Factory equipment includes air conditioning, a Becker Grand Prix AM/FM radio, pneumatic air suspension, and a hydraulically-powered sunroof, windows, locks, and seats. Work performed in 2018 included refurbishing the front seats, replacing the front crankshaft seal, and rebuilding the hydraulic accumulator, pump, and air valves. The actuator for the automatic trunk was also replaced in 2007. The 15” steel wheels wear body-colored hubcaps and are wrapped in Kumho tires that were installed in 2018 and are sized 235/75 at all four corners. The pneumatic air suspension was overhauled by the selling dealer in 2007, while work in 2018 included replacing the front shocks and air valves as well as installing a rebuilt hydraulic accumulator. The cabin is trimmed in black leather and features refinished woodgrain accents on the dashboard, center console, door panels, and window frames. The power-adjustable front seats were refreshed with replacement springs, leather, and horsehair padding in 2018. Additional work performed at that time included a recharge of the A/C system with R134a refrigerant and installation of a replacement air horn regulator.
