A subsequent two-year refurbishment included a bare-metal repaint as well as refreshment of the interior, factory air conditioning, and brakes. The 2. 0-liter inline-four was rebuilt with Weber DCOE carburetors, high lift camshafts, Centerline International headers, a Wes Ingram combination radiator and oil cooler, and more. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual gearbox and 4. 11 limited-slip differential, and additional modifications include Koni shocks, Centerline springs, cross-drilled brake rotors, adjustable upper control arms, and more. The exterior was stripped to bare metal by Cerise Autobody of El Segundo, California before receiving rust repair in the rockers, lower fenders, spare tire well, and windshield frame. Replacement sheet metal sourced from a donor 1973 GTV was welded in where necessary, and a repaint in the factory shade of Dutch Blue was carried out. A new windshield, grille, rubber seals, badges, and trim were installed during reassembly. Campagnolo 14�6� five-spoke wheels are powder coated silver and wrapped in Falken Ziex tires. An ATE brake system remains installed and now utilizes cross-drilled rotors and braided stainless hoses.
