1960 Volkswagen Single Cab Transporter 1.8L

The body was refinished in blue over a gray interior, and power comes from a replacement 1,835cc dual-port flat-four paired with a re-geared four-speed manual transaxle. Features include dual 44mm carburetors, a 12-volt conversion, a remote oil filter, and an aftermarket exhaust system. White-painted 15? steel wheels wear chrome-finished VW hubcaps and are mounted with GT Radial Champiro VP1 tires measuring 205/75. The bed features wood slats on the floor, and indentations are noted on the sheetmetal. The cab features a gray vinyl bench seat with matching door panels, a painted steel dashboard, lap belts, and black rubber floor coverings. The door-locking mechanism is currently non-operational. The steel dash also houses an under-dash storage tray and a radio blanking plate. The replacement air-cooled 1,835cc flat-four uses an AS41 dual-relief case and features dual-port cylinder heads, dual 44mm carburetors, a remote oil filter, a 12-volt electrical conversion, and an aftermarket A-1 exhaust system. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a “big nut” four-speed manual transaxle with Freeway Flyer gearing. An engine oil change was carried out in May 2020.
