Description
A cosmetic and mechanical refurbishment was completed in 2004 and reportedly included a repaint in blue, installing a 392ci V8, rebuilding the four-speed manual transmission, reupholstering the interior, and overhauling the brakes, the suspension, and the electrical system. Originally finished in Gulfstream Aqua, the body was repainted in Mercedes-Benz Bahama Blue and features factory-style satin black paint on the hood. Rust repair was reportedly carried out on the passenger-side front floor pan prior to the repaint. A front upper control arm drop and lowering springs were added to lower the car by 1â?³ front and rear, and the suspension overhaul reportedly included the installation of KYB shock absorbers, traction bars, and upgraded sway bars, as well as replacing the bushings, the control arms, and the front ball joints. Staggered-width 15â?³ Magnum 500 wheels wear BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. The power steering system was reportedly overhauled in 2004, and braking is from power-assisted front discs and rear drums. The interior was reupholstered in the original black and features replacement front and rear seat vinyl covers with matching door panels and carpeting. Additional interior equipment includes power steering, a Sport Deck fold-down rear seat, simulated wood trim on the doors, dashboard, and center console, a Hurst shifter, a Kenwood cassette deck, Pioneer door speakers, and Premier rear speakers. The dash-mounted clock does not work. The woodgrain Rim-Blow steering wheel fronts instrumentation including a 120-mph speedometer and gauges for charging level, fuel level, temperature, and oil pressure.
