Description
1967 Plymouth Belvedere II 2 dr. hardtop with a steel crankshaft 440HP V8 and a 4 speed transmission. This is a dry , never rusted ,beautiful straight as an arrow car. No rust repair / no sheetmetal repair. I've owned this car since 2001 . Sat in my collection as it's original condition a 318V8 motor with a 3 speed column shift no option car. No PS / No AC / No PB, Bench front seat. Then in 2013 I took this orig. never painted before factory forest green car all apart. Down to the paint shop-repainted it the orig. forest green with new base coat/ clear coat paint. A complete repaint with under hood / trunk and door jams painted as well. The small block 318 V8 was replaced with a built -cammed steel crankshaft 440HP-V8 sporting factory HP cast iron exhaust manifolds. The exhaust then flows out the full length 2 and 1/2 in. aluminized pipes with canister CVX mufflers that sound awesome! The motor is cooled by a Griffin cross flow aluminum radiator. The 3 speed column shift transmission was changed to a Mopar A833 4 speed - 21 spline transmission. A Hurst shifter and linkage was used to do the shifting. The correct metal 4 speed floor hump was bought and welded to the floor to complete this set up. The complete front end was replaced with an original 67 GTX factory set up including the front sway bar and 11 x 3 inch front drum brakes. Has a 8 and 3/4 rear axle assembly with a 3.23 geared Sure Grip center section. A rear sway bar was installed also. The interior was done all in black. The front bench seat was replaced with low back bucket seats from a 65 Fury. The correct extra floor braces were welded in place for bucket seat use. New foam was ordered for the buckets when they were upholstered. New carpet / New headliner / New door panels and rear side panels match the beautiful seats. An excellent orig. dash pad was found and completed the interior. Has a New windshield & rubber gasket. The front grill / headlight bezels and rear trunk panel were professionally polished & painted. New taillight & backup lenses were bought. The taillight chrome bezels are orig. and near perfect. The rest of the exterior trim was polished . The front and rear bumpers were show chromed. 15inch American Torq Thrust II aluminum wheels were used to keep the nostalgic look. The car was finished in 2015 . Has seen very little use since then. This is a real man's Muscle Car! All power from the motor to the rear wheels-no frills , No AC , No Power Windows , No Power Steering. Gets up and goes like hell!
