ERA Cobra 462ci Side-Oiler

Power is from a 462ci V8 stroker featuring SCAT H-beam connecting rods, forged pistons, a Reed camshaft, Edelbrock aluminum cylinder heads, and dual four-barrel Holley carburetors. Additional equipment includes side pipes, a four-speed Toploader manual transmission, a single roll hoop, and Halibrand-style knock-off wheels. Details include Jet Hot-coated side pipes, chrome bumperettes, wind wings, a hood scoop, and a chrome driver-side roll hoop. The car features four-wheel independent suspension with adjustable coilovers, and the disc brakes are mounted inboard at the rear. The cockpit features black bucket seats with four-point harnesses, matching carpets, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, and a forward-leaning T-handle shifter. A black dashboard houses Smiths gauges including an 8k-rpm tachometer and a reverse-sweep 180-mph speedometer with a five-digit odometer showing just over 1,600 miles. The 427ci side-oiler V8 was modified to displace 462ci by Southern Automotive in McDonough, Georgia.
