Description
The car rides on a four-wheel adjustable air suspension with a narrowed front axle beam and dropped spindles. Power comes from an air-cooled 2,276cc flat-four that is equipped with dual Weber 44 IDF carburetors and is mated to a four-speed manual transaxle that has been modified with a â??Freeway Flyerâ? gearset. Additional details include an A-1 Sidewinder exhaust system, electronic ignition, an extended capacity oil sump, and an MST billet serpentine belt system as well as 15â?³ five-spoke alloy wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, a 12-volt electrical system, a Dehne fuel level gauge, a Gene Berg shifter, and a retro-style Bluetooth stereo. The oval-window body has been refinished in metallic yellow and features shaved beltline trim, 12-volt semaphore indicators, and European-specification headlight lenses. Additional details include ice pick-style door handles, chrome jackhole covers, Hella â??snowflakeâ? taillight lenses, rear accent lights, and chrome bumpers with overriders. The front apron is damaged and no windshield wipers are fitted. Dark chrome-finished 15â?³ five-spoke wheels wear Porsche-crest center caps, feature flush-mounted valve stems, and are wrapped with 145-series Michelin XZX tires up front and 195/65 Michelin Defender XT tires out back. The floorpan was reportedly powder-coated black, and the car rides on a four-wheel adjustable air suspension with a narrowed front axle beam and dropped spindles. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes, and work in January 2024 consisted of replacing the front brake hoses and bleeding the system. The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench that have been re-shaped with replacement foam and trimmed in tan vinyl with tweed inserts.
