347-Powered 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback 5-Speed for Charity

This 1965 Ford Mustang fastback is finished in silver over a black vinyl interior and is equipped with a replacement 347ci V8 paired with a Tremec five-speed manual transmission and a Yukon locking differential. All proceeds from the sale as well as the BaT buyer’s fee will go to Open Arms Home for Children, a US-based organization that provides a loving home for orphaned, abused, and abandoned children in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. Features include dual black center stripes, GT-style driving lights and exhaust exits, and polished rocker-panel trim. American Racing 17? wheels are mounted with 225/45 Federal Super Steel 595 tires. The driveshaft has been shortened and balanced, and suspension updates include Magna rear leaf springs, Traction Master traction bars, and a Monte Carlo bar for the front shock towers. The car uses drum brakes at all four corners. The black interior features vinyl upholstery on the front bucket seats and the matching rear bench. Additional features include a Hurst shifter, a period-style stereo unit with an auxiliary input, an underdash pod of auxiliary gauges, and a center armrest console. Instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer and a Sunpro tachometer. The replacement 302ci V8 has been blueprinted and stroked to a displacement of 347 cubic inches.
