Description
This 1959 Cadillac Series 62 six-window hardtop sedan was signed by and used to transport boxer Muhammad Ali and his family around the Louisville, Kentucky area in the mid-1990s while the vehicle was owned by Aliâ??s friend and assistant, Frank Sadlo. The car is finished in blue with a white roof over blue and black upholstery, and power comes from a 390ci V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes power-assisted brakes, power steering, wheel covers, whitewall tires, a power-adjustable front seat, power windows, and a hidden Pioneer stereo. Equipment includes chrome bumpers and trim, fender skirts, a single-row rear grille, upright fins, and dual-bullet-style taillights. The steel wheels wear Cadillac Motor Division hubcaps, and they are mounted with L76â??15 bias-ply whitewall tires. The Series 62 rode on a 130â?³ wheelbase for 1959 and featured an independent front suspension and a live rear axle with coil springs at all four corners. Power-assisted steering and four-wheel drum brakes were standard equipment. The cabin features front and rear bench seats trimmed in blue vinyl with patterned black and blue cloth inserts along with blue door panels and carpeting. Equipment includes a six-way electrically adjustable front seat, front lap belts, power windows, a clock, and a rear armrest. A Pioneer remote-control stereo is located beneath the front bench.
