Description
This 1973 Alfa Romeo Junior Zagato is one of approximately 1,500 produced between 1969 and 1975, some 400 of which were equipped with a 1. 6-liter engine. Finished in yellow over black, the car is now powered by a 2. 0-liter Alfa inline-four paired with a five-speed manual gearbox. A refurbishment was carried out in 2013 and included an exterior repaint, interior refresh, and mechanical overhaul. This Junior Z has been shown at a number of events, including the Concorso Italiano and La Jolla Concours d’Elegance. The Junior Z was designed by Zagato’s Ercole Spada and debuted at the Turin Motor Show in November 1969. Details include a steel unibody, aluminum hood, full-width Perspex nose, and Kamm tail. An electronically controlled rear hatch riser helps provide additional cabin ventilation, and a video of its operation can be viewed here. Silver-finished 14×5.
