Modified 1975 BMW 2002 Baur Cabriolet

A replacement M10 2. 0-liter inline-four sourced from a 1974 2002tii was rebuilt and installed along with a Getrag four-speed manual transmission. Additional work completed during the refurbishment included bodywork and rust repair, chassis undercoating, installing 2002tii struts with negative-camber plates, rebuilding the brake calipers and half shafts, installing Bilstein shocks and Eibach lowering springs, and also replacing the front and rear subframes, carpeting, and headliner. The car was stripped and had rust spots repaired before being repainted in Chamonix White. Replacement exterior items include the windshield, door and side glass, Euro-spec light fixtures, bumpers, windshield wipers and spray nozzles, and a BluntTech beltline and lower trim kit. The body features a replacement black folding rear roof section, a body-color roll hoop, and a removable black roof panel that can be stored in the trunk when not in use. Basketweave BBS 14×6? wheels with black centers and polished lips are wrapped in General Altimax tires. Front and rear suspension components were powdercoated in black and include replacement rubber bushings, cadmium-plated hardware, and a 19mm front sway bar. The suspension and brakes were modified with the intention of approximating the equipment found on the 2002ti racing cars of the period. Marine Blue vinyl seats are offset by matching replacement door panels, replacement gray loop carpeting, and a black dashboard.
