Description
After decades in storage, a refurbishment was completed in 2013 that included a repaint in silver as well as a rebuild of the 327ci V8 and the Powerglide two-speed automatic transmission. The car is equipped with 15 steel wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, an AM/FM radio, and retractable headlights as well as an aluminum radiator, an electric cooling fan, an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold, and an HEI distributor. The fiberglass body left the factory finished in Silver Pearl (986) and was refinished in 2013. Features include flip-up headlights, chrome bumpers, Soft Ray tinted glass, a driver-side mirror, and a retractable antenna. Paint chips, cracks, and discoloration in the finish are pictured in the gallery. The 15 steel wheels wear faux-knock-off covers and are mounted with 215/70R15 Michelin Defender tires. The C2 Corvette utilized fully independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by four-wheel discs. The cabin features two bucket seats upholstered in black vinyl as well as color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Amenities include a heater, an AM/FM radio, and lap belts.
