Description
The car was refinished in red over black vinyl upholstery, and features include a removable hardtop, 15â?³ steel wheels with three-eared knock-off spinner-style hubcaps, a Positraction differential, and aftermarket AM/FM stereo and speakers, and concealed headlights. Features include a removable hardtop as well as flip-up headlamps, fender vents, quad tail lamps, and chrome bumperettes. A side-exit exhaust system was added, and the weatherstripping and emblems were replaced. There is no soft top. Silver-finished 15â? steel wheels feature three-eared knock-off spinner-style hubcaps and are mounted with 225/70 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. The C2 was the first Corvette to offer fully independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear. Braking is handled by four-wheel drums. The cabin features two bucket seats upholstered in black vinyl as well as color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Amenities include a heater, an analog clock, lap belts, and an aftermarket stereo and speakers. The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5,300-rpm redline as well as gauges for amperage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level.
