Description
This 1966 Mercedes-Benz 250SE is believed to have started life as a coupe and is powered by a 2. 5-liter inline-six equipped with mechanical fuel injection and paired with a four-speed manual transmission. The car, now a cabriolet, previously resided in Germany and was sent to Lebanon for a cosmetic and mechanical refurbishment in 2015. The work was partially completed before the car was imported to California by the selling dealer in November 2017. Remaining mechanical needs were addressed in the US, including replacement of the fuel pump, a timing adjustment, electrical work, and correction of steering and radiator leaks. The bodywork was refinished in metallic dark blue while the car was in Lebanon between 2015 and 2017. Sheet metal flaws were reportedly corrected prior to refinishing, though it is not known if any panels or brightwork were replaced. The parking lamps are missing on either side of the grille, and the selling dealer notes the side mirrors are not correct and that the taillamps are European-market items. 14â?³ steel wheels wear polished hubcaps and trim rings with color-keyed centers, and are mounted with Hankook Optimo whitewall tires that show 2014 date codes. The cabin is upholstered in red leather with matching carpets and was reportedly refurbished while the car was in Lebanon.
