Description
This 1983 Ferrari Mondial QV Coupe shows 55k miles and features a 3.0-liter quad-cam V8 and a 5-speed manual gearbox. Sold new in March 1984 through California Ferrari of San Francisco, the car was first owned by the Raiders Organization according to the warranty booklet. It was acquired by the selling dealer six months ago and is reported to have received a new clutch, stainless steel exhaust, and upgraded fuse panel while with the previous owner. A service performed last month included new gaskets, hoses, and an oil change. Finished in Argento with a black leather interior, this example has been fitted with 17 Speedline wheels and is believed to be one of only 69 Mondial QV coupes imported into the US. The Argento paintwork is reported to be mostly original, and all window glass is said to retain its factory etchings. Quattrovalvole script was added to the rear panel to highlight the new four-valve per cylinder heads equipped on this model.Silver 17 5-spoke Speedlines replaced the factory TRX units under previous ownership and wear Yokohama tires. The factory spare remains mounted in the front compartment. The contrasting black interior has been modified with a newer CD stereo unit. The front seats exhibit noticeable cracking in the leather, and the cushions could benefit from replacement. Photos also show some warping to some interior surfaces and wear on the three-spoke steering wheel. An additional set of floor mats are included in the sale. The seller notes the A/C will require servicing for cooler air and the sunroof motor is not functioning. Mileage on the working odometer shows 55,075 miles.Shared with the contemporary 308, the transversely-mounted 3.0-liter quad-cam V8 is equipped with fuel injection and produced around 240 horsepower when new. A stainless steel exhaust has been added, and the previous owner is reported to have fitted a new clutch along with an upgrade fuse panel from Scuderia Rampante Innovations. The most recent service occurred in July 2017 and addressed some driveability issues as well as some electrical troubleshooting, the replacement of the transmission sump gasket and air pump hose, and an oil change. The service invoice is displayed above and notes the right side cooling fan is missing. It also recommends new timing belts and tensioners.Several photos highlighting the condition of the undercarriage are included in the gallery below.
