It is finished in Beige Grey and Sealing Wax Red and is powered by a replacement single-port 1,600cc flat-four paired with a “big nut” four-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes eight upper roof windows, three bench seats, and a sliding canvas sunroof. The exterior is finished in Beige Grey (L472) over Sealing Wax Red (L53) and features a replacement white canvas sliding top. Rust repair was also performed around the passenger-side rear corner window, and patch panels were added to the front floor and passenger side of the cargo floor. Photos showing the condition of the paint are provided in the gallery. The 15” steel wheels have been powder coated white and wear VW-stamped hubcaps and Firestone Bias Ply tires. The brakes were reportedly serviced and fitted with replacement wheel cylinders and lines in October 2020. The interior has been re-upholstered in two-tone grey vinyl sourced from West Coast Classics Restoration in Fullerton, California. Amenities include a dash-mounted clock, seating for nine across three rows of benches, and black rubber floor coverings. A two-spoke steering wheel with a Wolfsburg-crest horn sits ahead of a 70-mph VDO speedometer.
