1959 MG MGA Roadster

This 1959 MG MGA was built in January 1958 and dispatched to the US. The car spent time in Texas before it underwent a comprehensive mechanical and cosmetic restoration between 2013 and 2015 by British Sports Cars of San Luis Obispo, California. Receipts total approximately $100k and include a repaint in British Racing Green and a reupholstered black vinyl interior, as well as rebuilding the 1,489cc inline-four, which is linked with a four-speed manual gearbox and a 3. 70:1 rear differential. More recent work in 2019 included servicing the brake system and installing a 12-volt electrical system with an alternator and a fresh battery. Originally black, the body was stripped to bare-metal, hammered smooth, and refinished its current shade of British Racing Green. Equipment includes driving lamps, wing windows, fender-mounted mirrors, and chrome bumpers with overriders.
