Description
This Shelby Cobra is a CSX4000 continuation model that was purchased in 2004 as a rolling chassis by XKs Unlimited of San Luis Obispo, California, and subsequently fitted with a Ford 427ci V8 that was built by Aldridge Motorsports and Engineering. The car is finished in Rangoon Red over a black interior, and additional equipment includes a four-speed manual transmission, a chrome roll hoop, side exhaust pipes, 15â?³ knock-off wheels, quick-jack bumpers, and Simpson lap belts. The fiberglass body is finished in Rangoon Red and features side exhaust pipes, quick-jack bumpers, a chrome roll hoop behind the driverâ??s seat, a racing-style fuel cap, wind wings, and Shelby badging. Halibrand-style 15â?³ wheels are held on with knock-off spinners and are wrapped in Goodyear Eagle GTII tires measuring 235/60 on the front and 295/50 on the back. Adjustable coilovers and ventilated disc brakes are fitted at all four corners. The interior is trimmed in black and features Simpson lap belts, embroidered Cobra floor mats, and a Shelby plaque on the center hump identifying this car as CSX4753. A wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts Shelby American-branded instrumentation consisting of a 180-mph speedometer and an 8k-rpm tachometer, as well as gauges for oil temperature, water temperature, voltage, oil pressure, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows just over 2,700 miles, a handful of which have been added by the selling dealer over the past two months. The 427ci V8 features a remote oil filter, finned and â??Cobraâ?-embossed valve covers, and a Holley four-barrel carburetor. A 1990-dated build sheet from Aldridge Motorsports and Engineering of Portland, Oregon is viewable the gallery.
