Description
OK I will try to list all of what this great car has, but I highly recommend you call me for more details before you bid on it. I do not want to have any misunderstandings. Dave three14-208-770zero. Of friend of mine started this build over 30 years ago. I finished it up over the last year. Body: All steel and un-chopped. I am 6' tall and weigh 235 lbs. I have plenty of leg and head room, even with a race helmet on. All wood replaced with steel. All custom made frame. Full Chrome moly cage. Should certify for at least a 9 second run, maybe quicker? Body, frame, and cage are all welded together in one piece. Car was completely painted in silver with a satin clear coat before assembly began. Body work it not good enough for a high end paint job, nor was it meant to be. I wanted to keep it looking like a vintage drag car. The front and rear glass are real glass. Side windows are plexi. The door windows lift in and out. The rear glass rolls up and down electrically as does the trunk lid. All new Auto Meter gauges and Tach. Hurst quarter stick shifter. Seats are Pontiac Fieros that are newly recovered and are mounted on tracks to move forward of needed. Wheel base was extended to 108" with a 60" track. Ididit tilt steering column. Vintage red metal flake steering wheel. Red metal flake dash. Suspension: The front end is a very high end coil over / rack and pinion unit made by Kugel. They are now $5500. for the kit. The rear is a Chasis Engineering Top Gun custom made 4 link set up with coil over shocks. Fully adjustable. Rear end is a narrowed Chevy 12 bolt with 4:11 gears, Detroit locker, Strange axles, C clip eliminators, and H D support cover. Brakes: Heavy duty Willwood disc brakes on all 4 corners with braided stainless steel brake lines. Mechanics: Engine is a 30 over 396 Big Block Chevy that has a lot of very high end work done to it. It ran a low 11's quarter mile in a full bodied 1970 Nova. Should go into the 10's in this lighter weight car. 11to 1 compression ratio. Ported and polished large oval port heads, 310 Isky hydraulic cam, vintage MOON valve covers, 850 Holley double pumper, MSD 6 AL box and distributer, etc. Trans is a built 350 turbo with 2500 converter and shift kit. Radiator is a Griffin 4 core aluminum unit made special for this car. Exhaust headers are all custom built stainless steel with Borla stainless steel collectors / mufflers. Holley blue fuel pump and all new braided stainless steel fuel lines. Custom modified aluminum fuel cell with sending unit. Wheels and tires: New multi spoke wheels and new tires up front. 15 x 4" Wheels painted to look like real magnesium wheels. The rear wheels ARE REAL Vintage Magnesium Bear Paws or Bear Claws as some call them. 16 x 10" with new M & H Race Master cheater slicks. 30 x 14 x 16. If these wheels and tires are not to your liking, I can switch them out with a complete set of Weld wheels with 33-1950-15 new Mickey Thompson rear tires and skinnies for the front. Not installed yet but included. New stainless steel wheelie bars. Parachute. Tail lights. Tachometer. Multiple toggle switch panel to control all power. This car starts, runs and stops but is NOT finished or ready to drive down the road or track. What it still needs: Complete wiring kit installed. Clips made to hold door glass in place. It may need the front end alligned and the rear end set up for proper hook up. Tail lights installed. Battery permanently mounted. Gaugers hooked up. ( I have temporary temp and oil gauges installed directly on the engine at this time ) Again, this is NOT a show car. It was built to be a street racer, track car, and to mimic an old time drag car, but handle much better. To date, there is over 35K invested in this build without any labor.
