Description
This 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 was assembled in November 1968 at Ford’s San Jose, California plant and was originally delivered to Beattie Ford of Lompoc, California. Finished in red over black, the car is powered by a replacement 428ci Cobra Jet V8 paired with a three-speed C6 automatic transmission. Equipment includes a Traction-Lok rear end, a shaker hood, AutoMeter auxiliary gauges, and a Philco push-button AM radio. Features include a shaker hood, chrome bumpers, quarter-panel scoops, quad exhaust outlets, and bright-finished trim on the wheel arches, front grille, and window surrounds. The reverse lights are currently non-functional, and touched-up paint chips are noted on the passenger-side door edge and on the hood, as are indentations on the passenger-side rocker panel and the roofline trim. Chrome-finished 14? wheels with trim rings and hubcaps are mounted with 225/70 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. Scratches are noted on the glass, and the driver-side window is currently out of adjustment. The refurbished interior features high-back front bucket seats trimmed in black upholstery and red accents. Equipment includes air conditioning, a Ford/Philco push-button AM radio, lap belts, and a clock, as well as woodgrain trim on the dash, center console, and door panels. The woodgrain steering wheel fronts instrumentation that includes a 120-mph speedometer, an optional tachometer, and auxiliary gauges measuring coolant temperature, voltage, and fuel level.
