Description
This 1966 Mercedes-Benz 230SL is finished in white over a black interior and is powered by a numbers-matching fuel-injected 2. 3L inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a white removable hardtop, a black convertible soft top, a Becker Mexico AM/FM/cassette stereo, polished engine components, and a Hella accessory service light that connects under the hood. The body was refinished in white (050) in the late 1990s and features a matching removable hardtop, a black convertible soft top, chrome bumpers, European-style headlamps, and a Hirschmann power-operated antenna. A tear is noted on the left rear sail panel section of the soft top, which can be seen in the gallery. 14? steel wheels wear paint-matched hubcaps, chrome beauty rings, and 185-series Phoenix thin whitewall tires. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums, and maintenance in 2016 included rebuilding the brake master cylinder. The interior features low-back bucket seats upholstered in black MB-Tex, matching door panels, a black dash pad, and salt-and-pepper square-weave carpets. A Becker Mexico AM/FM/cassette stereo is fitted in place of the factory Becker Grand Prix radio, and additional equipment includes wooden trim on the dash and center console as well as aftermarket Hickok lap belts. An interior refresh in 2016 included replacement carpets, new seat upholstery, and an analog clock that was rebuilt with quartz movement components.
