Description
The replacement 327ci V8 was rebuilt in 2010 along with the four-speed manual transmission, while the fiberglass body underwent repairs prior to a color change to black in the mid-2010s. The car features a black convertible soft top, a big-block hood, and side-exit exhaust pipes along with Bilstein shocks, front disc brakes, and 15â?³ American Racing wheels. Inside, the black leatherâ??trimmed bucket seats are accompanied by a woodgrain-rimmed steering wheel, a Hurst shifter, and a retrofitted air conditioning system. The fiberglass body was originally finished in Medium Blue (912) and underwent repairs before a repaint in black by Metal Asylum of Chandler, Arizona, in the mid-2010s. A big-block hood hood was added at the time of the bodywork along with replacement front bumperettes, taillights, and turn signals. A black convertible soft top is installed and a replacement soft top is included in the sale. Further details include concealed headlamps, fender vents, and side-exit exhaust pipes. The chrome front soft-top clamp was replaced in preparation for the sale. Polished 15â?³ American Racing wheels are mounted with 205/6 Bridgestone Insignia SL tires. The C2 was the first Corvette to offer fully independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear.
