Vortec-Powered 1987 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60

3-liter Vortec V8. Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a replacement 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission and a rebuilt dual-range transfer case. The truck was repainted silver and the interior was refreshed with gray vinyl upholstery and a black carpet kit. Additional features include an Old Man Emu 3? suspension lift, 16? Cragar wheels, steel front and rear bumpers, an aftermarket audio system, air conditioning, a locking center console, and an in-truck power inverter. The body was separated from the frame and the glass was removed prior to a repaint in silver in 2019. Rust repair was performed in the driver’s floor, on the driver’s door, and above the driver-side taillight. Waviness is visible on the lower tailgate. Additional work carried out during the overhaul included replacement of bushings, ball joints, tie-rod ends, Birfield joints, and the steering box. The brakes were serviced with replacement front calipers, rotors, pads, and stainless steel lines, along with a rebuild and repaint of the rear drums and fitment of a replacement power steering pump. The truck is equipped with manually-locking front hubs.
