Description
This Factory Five Racing Mk3 Roadster is a 1965 Shelby Cobra replica that was reportedly finished in 2016 and appeared previously on BaT in May 2020, with its acquisition by the selling dealer coming shortly thereafter. The car is finished in silver and blue over black vinyl, and equipment includes power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering, four-wheel disc brakes, exhaust headers, and side pipes. Power is supplied by a 460ci V8 crate engine backed by a Tremec five-speed manual transmission, and service performed in preparation for the sale reportedly included a four-wheel alignment, brake fluid and coolant flushes, and an oil change, along with the installation of an air filter, door panels, trunk carpeting, and a halon fire extinguisher. The body is finished in silver with dual blue center stripes and features a chrome roll hoop behind the driver, chrome nudge bars with overriders, a Hilborn-style hood scoop, and side pipes. Silver-finished 17? wheels with polished lips are wrapped in Goodyear Eagle F1 tires in sizes 245/45 up front and 315/35 at the rear. The cockpit is trimmed in black vinyl with matching carpets and features four-point Simpson harnesses, tinted sun visors, and Factory Five floor mats. Door panels, a Hurst pistol-grip shifter, a FireWire adapter, and trunk carpeting have been added by the selling dealer. A wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts AutoMeter C2 instrumentation consisting of a 10k-rpm tachometer, a 160-mph speedometer, and center-mounted gauges for fuel level, battery voltage, water temperature, oil temperature, and oil pressure. The digital odometer shows just under 1,500 miles, approximately 100 of which have been added by the selling dealer. The Ford 460ci Boss V8 crate engine features a high-rise aluminum intake manifold topped by a Hilborn-style scoop and a Holley Double Pumper four-barrel carburetor, with spark provided by an MSD distributor, coil, and 6AL ignition-control module.
