The vehicle was restored in the 1990s and was acquired by the selling dealer in 2020, after spending 15 years in a collection in the Houston area of Texas. Finished in Venetian Red with beige coves, the car is equipped with a red interior, RetroSound radio, and BFGoodrich whitewall tires. The Rochester fuel-injection system was rebuilt within the last few months, and the ignition coil, wiper motor, brake fluid, and engine oil were also replaced. Fewer than 3,500 Corvettes were built for the 1957 model year, which was also when the small-block V8 engine was first offered with optional fuel injection. A replacement windshield wiper motor was installed earlier this year. Body-color 15â?³ steel wheels wear chrome covers and BFGoodrich Silvertown whitewall tires. New wheel bearings, wheel cylinders, and a brake master cylinder were installed in May 2012, and the drums were also turned at that time. Fresh brake fluid was added in March 2020. The interior features red upholstery with matching carpets and textured seat inserts. The heating and ventilation system was serviced by the selling dealer in November 2010.
