Description
Finished in Matador Red and India Ivory over a two-tone interior, the car is equipped with a 283ci V8 mated to a two-speed automatic transmission. Features include a dash-mounted traffic-light viewer, air conditioning, a cassette stereo, and lap belts. 1957 was the final year of production for the first-generation Bel Air Nomad, and the model featured the same interior, gold anodized trim, front-fender chevrons, and ribbed-aluminum tail-fin inserts as other Bel Airs. Steel wheels wear three-eared hubcaps and 14? Coker Classic whitewall tires. The 1957 model’s sloped B-pillar and sliding rear side windows are pictured above, as is the hidden fuel filler incorporated into the driver-side tail-fin trim. Twin bench seats upholstered in red vinyl with textured black inserts are complemented by chrome trim on the dash, steering wheel, door panels, window frames, and headliner. Features include air conditioning, a JVC cassette stereo, a rear center storage cubby with cupholders, and a period traffic-light viewer mounted atop the dash. The two-spoke steering wheel frames a combination speedometer and gear indicator flanked by fuel and temperature gauges. The rebuilt 283ci Turbo-Fire V8 is topped by a four-barrel carburetor and sends power to the rear wheels through a rebuilt two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. .
