Description

A subsequent build carried out by Fairyland Automotive of Lehighton, Pennsylvania, involved disassembling the truck, refinishing the frame, rebuilding the three-speed automatic transmission, and installing a 360ci FE V8, a NP205 dual-range transfer case, and axles, brakes, and suspension components sourced from various late-model F-250s. The truck is finished in green and equipped with a Holley carburetor, Magnaflow mufflers, western-style side mirrors, clearance lights, Rough Country shocks, manually locking front hubs, and 17 white-finished steel wheels as well as a cabin heater, an aftermarket stereo, and a bench seat upholstered in black vinyl. The body is finished in green, and it was removed from the frame as part of the aforementioned build. The firewall area of the cab, the underside of the pickup bed, and the inner areas of the front fenders were repainted prior to reassembly. Exterior details include a chrome-finished front bumper and grille, western-style side mirrors, clearance lights, bright bodyside moldings, bedside tie-down hooks, and a silver-finished rear bumper. The condition of the paint and cargo bed is shown in the gallery. White-finished 17 steel wheels are mounted with 285/70 Falken Wildpeak M/T tires. As part of the build, the frame was modified to accommodate a custom four-link front suspension setup and front and rear springs that were sourced from a late-model F-250. A brake system sourced from a late-model F-250 was also installed along with a dual-shock steering stabilizer and Rough Country shocks. The truck is further equipped with manually locking front hubs.
