Description
The car was stripped and refinished in white, the interior was redone in red leather, the cylinder head and the suspension were rebuilt, and the braking system and the clutch were replaced, among other work. Power is provided by a 1. 6-liter inline-four linked to a four-speed manual transmission, and other equipment includes a black convertible top, a tan tonneau cover, 15� steel wheels, hubcaps, front disc brakes, dual SU carburetors, electronic ignition, and a Moto-Lita steering wheel. The car was finished from the factory in Old English White. The body was stripped and sanded during the aforementioned refurbishment, repairs were made to lower areas of the shell, and the vehicle was coated with two layers of epoxy primer and resprayed with original-type enamel paint. The seal packing between the chassis and body was replaced, and so were the plywood floors, weatherstripping, windshield, grille, lamps, and the black convertible top. Paint touch-ups are noted on the rocker panels, and the front bumper is pitted on the passenger side. Four-lug 15� steel wheels wear chrome hubcaps and are mounted with 165/80 Akuret Metric tires. Braking is provided by front discs and rear drums. During the refurbishment, the braking and suspension systems received replacement parts, and the steering was overhauled.
