Work included cutting out and repairing rust damage to the car’s undercarriage and body, glass-bead blasting, priming, and repainting the exterior in blue, refinishing the 13? Cosmic wheels, refreshing the blue vinyl interior, overhauling the suspension and brakes, and installation and tuning of the fuel-injected 2. 0-liter engine and four-speed manual transmission. Additional equipment consists of a dash-mounted analog clock, Bilstein rear shocks, and a factory AM/FM push-button radio. All 2002tii cars came equipped with a number of factory upgrades over the base model including larger front brakes, larger and stronger wheel bearings, fully-boxed trailing arms, and mechanical fuel injection. Exterior features include bright grilles and trim as well as round taillights and a Hal Boyles third brake light. The belt-line trim and all of the car’s rubber seals were replaced and the front grille and taillights were polished. Refinished 13? Cosmic alloy wheels wear BMW center caps and are mounted with 185/70 Vredstein tires. Stopping power is provided by an overhauled front disc and rear drum brake system, and the suspension rides on Bilstein shocks. The cabin is trimmed in blue vinyl upholstery with salt and pepper carpeting and a white headliner, all of which was replaced during the refurbishment. The dashboard cap was refinished by Just Dashes in California.
