Description
Power is provided by a 390ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. The car is finished in green over tan, and features include dual exhaust, a Hurst shifter, air conditioning, and an AM radio. Produced from 1968 to 1970, the AMX was the sole American-built steel-bodied two-seat car of its time. Features include chrome bumpers, a side mirror, rocker-panel trim, and buttressed rear bodywork. Magnum 500–style 15? wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich white-letter tires. Power-assisted brakes are equipped with discs in front and drums at the rear. The cabin is trimmed in Saddle (936F) upholstery with matching door panels as well as woodgrain accents on the doors and steering wheel. Appointments include crank windows, air conditioning, a Hurst shifter, and a push-button AM radio. Instrumentation ahead of the driver includes a 140-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline. The 390ci V8 was rated for 315 horsepower at 4,600 rpm and 425 lb-ft of torque at 3,200 rpm when new, and it sends power to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
