1965 Shelby Cobra 428 Cobra Jet Block

Year:1965 Make:Shelby Model:Cobra Mileage:1319 Car was purchased by seller in 2018 and has put 1309 miles on it. It was acquired at auction; the previous seller replaced the odometer. There is no original paperwork with the car. The car is sold as is with no warranty. Motor: 428 Cobra Jet Block, Cobra Jet Heads with forged pistons and polished Rods. Tri-Power (2x3) triple barrel carburetors, Aluminum cobra valve covers, Spal electric fan. Stewart Warner instrumentationTransmission:4-speed Ford Toploader with Hurst Shifter. Suspension: Jaguar IRS Salisbury independent rear suspension with ProTech Shocks. Front suspension is MGB with KYB Shocks. Wheels are faux knock off spinner Shelby American Racing 5-lug and BF Goodrich Radial T/A. Body: fiberglass body over a steel tube frame. This example is finished in blue with twin over-the-top stripes. Exterior features include a chrome roll hoop and bumpers, a Le Mans-style fuel filler, a driver-side mirror, and side-exit exhaust pipes. Moto-Lita hardwood rimed wheel. During my ownership I have had the interior carpet, dashboard replaced, and period correct shifter. The Carburetors were rebuilt by Holly. All suspension shocks were replaced and rubber bushings. New fuel pump and sending unit. Spal engine fan installed. Spark plugs, ignition coil and battery. Install new throttle cables and clutch master cylinder. New front brake calibers and rotors. All rubber hoses have been replaced. New Steering rack, and tie rod ends. All work was done by Cobra Restorers and Unique Motorcars.
