Description
This 1956 Chevrolet Corvette is finished in Aztec Copper with white coves over a white interior, and the car is powered by a 265ci V8 paired with a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. Other equipment includes a white soft top, 15? wheels with spinner hubcaps, power windows, and an AM radio. Body-color 15? steel wheels are mounted with spinner hubcaps and wear Firestone whitewall tires. The cockpit features individual bucket seats with white upholstery and textured inserts. A white soft top is housed in the shell directly behind the seats, and the top is shown collapsed in the gallery. An AM radio and driver switchgear are located in the center of the dashboard, and the car is equipped with power windows. A three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of a 140-mph speedometer, and auxiliary gauges including a tachometer are centrally located in the dashboard. Actual mileage is unknown. The 265ci V8 was rated for 225 horsepower when new and features dual carburetors, a polished plate that covers the distributor, and finned Corvette-script valve covers. The engine-pad stamping suffix reads FG, which is consistent with a 1956 265ci Corvette engine with 225 horsepower, dual-quad carburetors, and a Powerglide automatic transmission.
