1948 Ford Super Deluxe

Looking to get into the classic car hobby without breaking the bank? Ready to hit the cruise nights in something not everyone has? Well here you go. Up for sale is a 1948 Ford Super Deluxe Convertible (only a little over 12,000 units produced in '48) just pulled from long-term storage. From what the previous owner shared with me the vehicle was "freshened up" in 2006 (paint/body work, top, dual exhaust and interior kit). It was then driven sparingly until it was parked in an indoor storage unit in February 2019. After a thorough wash and a new set of Coker Classic wide-whitewall radials mounted on the iconic chrome smoothie wheels, she is now ready to be cruised this summer with the top down for all to see.what I can tell you about the car...All mechanical systems seem to work properly and be in good order (brakes, steering, transmission and engine)this Flathead V8 is one of the quietest I have had. In fact there has been times where passengers have thought she stalled at the stop light only to surprised when they realized she was quietly purring.all lights and signals work, even the horn.radio turns on, but only buzzes (there is nothing to listen to on AM anyway)all gauges, except fuel, work and read correctly (charging system works, shows good oil pressure and does not get hot)speedo/odometer workswipers workas like every other 74 year old vehicle, the body has had repairs over the years, but it has held up well. no rot that I can find. Doors, jambs, floors and trunk are all solid. yes, it has scratches, dings and chips, but the casual passer-by will think it is a show car.all trim is intact and presents well. some pieces have been replaced while others are most likely originalsall glass is good, no hazing and windows all operate properlypower top is in great shape and operates smoothly. folds down nicelyinterior kit has held up well. shows some wear, but no major rips, tears or staining. Carpet does not appear to be a kit.vehicle starts and runs well (new battery this month), will make a great cruiserbe prepared to have lots of thumbs-up and smiles whenever you take it outplease feel free to ask for more photos.
