S54-Powered 1988 BMW M3

This 1988 BMW M3 has been fitted with a 3. 2-liter S54 inline-six as well as a later five-speed manual transmission, and it has been refinished in blue over a black interior with custom upholstery and carbon-fiber trim. Additional work performed reportedly included servicing the VANOS setup, cleaning the injectors, and replacing the rod bearings, water pump, exhaust, and clutch assembly. This car has been modified with smoked headlights, front air ducts that feed the brakes, an aftermarket rear wing, and DTM-style carbon-fiber mirrors as well as removal of the exterior trim and badges. Silver 17â?³ x 8â?³ DTM replica wheels were sourced from M3 Motorsport in New Zealand and are mounted with 245/35 Toyo Proxes R1R tires at all four corners. A Bimmerworld wheel-stud conversion kit was utilized, and braking is handled by Brembo calipers up front and Wilwood calipers in the rear. The suspension has been modified with Ground Control front coilovers paired with adjustable rear perches and Koni shocks all around. A rear strut bar has also been added. The cabin has been redone with adjustable Recaro seats reupholstered in black with blue diamond-stitched bolsters, patterned inserts, and M Sportâ??style accents. The rear seats have been upholstered to match, the console has been removed, and the black carpeting and the headliner have been replaced.
