1970 Plymouth GTX Blue

1970 Plymouth GTX. This is a matching number GTX. I have restored cars since I was a teenager and this was gonna be my specialty car. The owner had recently painted the car and rebuilt the engine. Everything else was left to me. I started a five-year renovation on this car. I am picky with my details and I want matching number parts to go with my matching number car. So I went to the Mopar nationals for many years to buy new and NOS parts. This car has been detailed restored down to the window channels and even the felt. All the stainless steel has been polished chrome has been re-chromed. The vinyl top is new. All the glass is perfect. Has a new gas tank and new sending unit. I even was able to find a spare tire that has never been on the ground. The engine bay area has new wiring, from the dash to the trunk is new wiring. The seats, the carpet, the headliner, the door panels are are legendary interior parts. I did change the firing system to electronic ignition . Points get carbon build up and just don't run good. It has been stored in a climate controlled garage. And has not seen rain since 2005 when I bought it. There is one thing that you may want to finish. I have the old air condition compressor in a box. But most people put the new rotary air conditioner on this car. That's just a step I have not done.
