Description
This 1953 Chevrolet 3100 is a half-ton pickup that was acquired by the selling dealer on BaT in 2020 and has since received a repaint, suspension modifications, power steering, a floor-mounted shifter, and a refreshed interior. The truck is finished in charcoal over a black interior and is powered by a 235ci inline-six paired with a three-speed manual transmission. Features include an electric fuel pump, a high energy ignition system, a 12-volt electrical system, an aftermarket push-button radio, independent front suspension with coilovers, a lowered rear leaf-sprung suspension, LED lighting, cross-drilled front brake rotors, and 18â?³ Ridler wheels. Previously finished in cream, the body was disassembled and repainted in its current shade of charcoal following dent repairs by the selling dealer. Replacement glass and weatherstripping was installed at that time, and exterior features include a cowl vent, LED lighting, body-colored bumpers and running boards, an oak-lined bed, and a black powder-coated grille, hood ornament, headlamp surrounds, door handles, tailgate chains, and badging. Chrome 18â?³ Ridler wheels are mounted with 245/40 Sumitomo HTR Z5 tires. Drilled and slotted rotors have been fitted up front, and additional work performed by the selling dealer included the installation of independent front suspension with coilovers, power steering, and a lowered leaf sprung rear suspension. The bench seat is trimmed in black vinyl, and the cabin has been fitted with a matching headliner and door panels. The turn signal stalk was replaced and an Autosound push-button radio with Bluetooth connectivity was added. A three-spoke steering wheel mounted on a tilting column sits ahead of an 80-mph speedometer and a combination auxiliary gauge.
