1970 Jaguar XKE Roadster

Powered by a matching-numbers 4. 2 liter inline-six paired to a 4-speed manual gearbox, this E-type has been modified with a European triple-carburetor intake and long tube header. The car has never been fully restored but was repainted in its original color once. Normal wear and a few blemishes are noted, though the finish appears glossy in photos. The wire wheels are fitted with knockoff hubs and wear Goodyear Eagle GT+4 tires. All of the lights are functional and correct for a Series II, and the chrome trim appears complete. Red leather upholstery provides a nice contrast against the dark exterior color. The seats show some cracking from age but are in good driver condition with no rips or tears. The carpets are clean and the door panels feature the correct trim and arm rests. Original Smiths gauges and rocker switches remain in the dash. The wooden rimmed steering wheel is original to the roadster, as is the Becker Europa radio. Engine number 7R-8427-9 is confirmed to be the original 4. 2 liter inline-six as verified by the data plate, engine stamp, and JHTC. The motor utilizes a European triple-carburetor manifold and long tube headers that were installed in 1971, as well as the non-original air cleaners that were fitted at a later time. Some dents are apparent on the floor pans, and were likely caused from jacking the car improperly. A Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate shows a build date of October 22, 1969.
